Milliampere-hour (mAh) is a measure of a battery's energy capacity. You can use a higher mAh battery to replace a lower mAh battery without any issues. If the batteries function on the first day but not thereafter, the solar panel may require cleaning or the solar garden light may need to be placed in a sunnier location. Some solar garden lights are powered by LiFePO4 chemistry, which operates at 3.2 volts, instead of the 1.2 volts of NiMH or NiCD batteries. In such cases, these Solla batteries would not be compatible.
